Improvements to Highway 14 Require Temporary Highway Closure near Weona

POINSETT COUNTY (10-27) – The removal and installation of corrugated metal pipes for a ditch crossing Highway 14 near Weona will mean temporary closure of the highway, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, crews will close Highway 14 immediately east of Highway 373 South starting Tuesday, November 2, at 8:00 a.m. to replace deteriorating corrugated metal pipes at the location.  This closure is expected to last one day before the roadway can be reopened to public traffic.  Drivers should use alternate routes for travel to their destination on the day of the cross-drain installation.

Traffic barrels, message boards, and signage will control traffic. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov. You can also follow us on Twitter @IDriveArkansas for traffic and @myARDOT for everything else.
