WASHINGTON COUNTY | September 30, 2024
Portions of Interstate 49 (I-49) will be closed overnight for 15-minute increments beginning on Monday, September 30. The closures will occur each night from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. the next morning. The overnight closures are expected to be completed by Saturday morning, October 19.
The closures are scheduled between Highway 412/W. Sunset Avenue (Exit 72) and Elm Springs Road (Exit 73) in Springdale.
Weather permitting, these temporary traffic stops will allow crews to set steel girders for the new Har-Ber Avenue overpass bridge.
Phase I of this project was completed earlier this month. These closures mark Phase II of the Har-Ber Avenue overpass project.
See the detour map for additional information.
Traffic will be controlled using barrels, message boards, and signage.
Drivers are urged to use caution while traveling in the area.
