POPE COUNTY | May 31, 2023

Overnight lane closures are planned in Pope County beginning Wednesday, May 31 from 7 p.m. to 10 a.m. and will continue nightly until the project is complete in late June.

Maintenance crews will pave 10 miles of Interstate 40 eastbound between mile markers 83 and 93. Work will include the ramps for exits 84 and 88. There will be alternating inside and outside lane closures throughout the duration of this project.

Traffic will be controlled with the use of barrels, message boards, and signage.

Drivers are urged to use caution while traveling in the area.
