SEBASTIAN COUNTY | June 14, 2024

Weather permitting, lane closures on Highway 64 between Riverfront Drive in Fort Smith and South 4^th Street in Van Buren will begin at 7 a.m. Monday, June 17.  One lane of traffic will be maintained in the eastbound and westbound directions at all times.   

This work includes hydro demolition of the existing bridge decks and placement of a latex modified concrete overlay across the Arkansas River Bridge and the relief bridge.  The work is expected to be completed in approximately four months. 

Traffic will be controlled with the use of barrels, barricades, and signage.

Drivers are urged to use caution while traveling in the area.
