“Autonomous vehicle” means a vehicle equipped with an automated driving system that can drive the vehicle for any duration of time without the active physical control or monitoring of a human operator.

In accordance with Arkansas Code Annotated (A.C.A.) § 27-51-2002, the Arkansas State Highway Commission is empowered to endorse a proposed autonomous vehicle program submitted by a person.
