Highway 62 Resurfacing Project Scheduled for 2025

WASHINGTON COUNTY | June 21, 2024

The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) is scheduled to accept bids in February 2025 for a resurfacing project on a portion of Highway 62 in Washington County.

This project will mill and overlay approximately 12.5 miles of Highway 62 from the Oklahoma State Line to Prairie Grove. The estimated cost is $5-10 million. The estimated completion date for this project is late 2025.

“I’m excited about this investment in District 23 by the State of Arkansas and Arkansas Department of Transportation,” said Representative Kendra Moore, of District 23 in the Arkansas State House of Representatives. “This is a highly trafficked stretch of roadway and this improvement will provide a safer path for our citizens.”

“We are grateful to Representative Moore for her support and advocacy of this much-needed project,” said ARDOT Director Lorie Tudor. “ARDOT’s collaboration with legislators is key to serving the citizens of Arkansas.”
