ARDOT to Cut a Ribbon on Newly Widened Highway 10 Corridor

PULASKI COUNTY | May 12, 2023

Join ARDOT leadership and local dignitaries in Little Rock at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 17 to cut a ribbon on the newly widened Highway 10 (Cantrell Road) Corridor.

In addition to the ribbon-cutting, the corridor will be officially dedicated as the Thomas B. Schueck Highway. Schueck served as a member of the Arkansas Highway Commission from 2011 until his death in 2020, at which time he was serving as Chairman of the Highway Commission. Throughout his tenure, Schueck was a tireless advocate for improvements to the State Highway System.

The ribbon-cutting will take place at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4000 N. Rodney Parham Road in Little Rock.

“This was one of Commissioner Schueck’s legacy projects.  He was very involved in identifying the funding and provided guidance throughout the design.  The success of this project is a tribute to his vision and leadership to improve mobility on Highway 10“ said ARDOT Director Lorie Tudor.

Highway 10/Cantrell Road is a thoroughfare connecting the northern and western parts of Little Rock and Pulaski County. This widening project will help ease traffic through this heavily traveled urban corridor.

ARDOT served as the lead designer for the overall project and awarded the construction contract to the Kiewit Infrastructure South Co. at a cost of $81 million.
