LITTLE ROCK (4-3) – As recommended by health officials, the Arkansas Department of
Transportation (ARDOT) is engaging in social distancing mitigation measures to help combat
the spread of COVID-19 in Arkansas communities by closing offices and facilities to the
public.

For this reason, ARDOT has closed the Welcome Center located on U.S. Highway 49 in HelenaWest Helena until further notice. ARDOT’s priority is the safety of its employees and the
traveling public.

ARDOT Officials are working closely with other state agencies and will continue to take
measures as necessary to safeguard employees, the traveling public and Arkansas’
transportation infrastructure.
