Maintenance Work on the Highway 187 Beaver Bridge Requires Regular Closures

CARROLL COUNTY (4-23) – Maintenance work on the Highway 187 Beaver Bridge over the White River will require regular closures, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, crews may close the bridge between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. starting on Monday, April 26, and recurring Monday-Thursday until this phase of construction is completed (expected to be two weeks). This closure will allow for installation of a safety platform to be used while crews replace the timber deck and railing.

Future work will require continuous 24-hour closures Monday through Thursday and a separate information release will be issued with those details.

Traffic will be controlled by traffic cones and signage. Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov. You can also follow us on Twitter @IDriveArkansas for traffic and @myARDOT for everything else.
