Assistant Chief of Administration – Crystal Woods

The Assistant Chief of Administration oversees six divisions. The Civil Rights, Equipment & Procurement, Fiscal Services, Human Resources, Information Technology and the Retirement Division, all of which perform specialized activities supporting Department operations.

Crystal Woods began her career at the Department as a seasonal employee in the Personnel Section of the Human Resources Division in May 1990 and continued in part-time status until completing college in 1993. Upon graduation, Crystal was hired as a General Clerk in the Training and Safety Section. She transferred to Public Affairs in 1995 as the Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Administration and Public Affairs. In 1996, Crystal returned to the Training and Safety Section to assume training responsibilities as the Training Specialist. In 2000, she promoted to Section Head of Training and Safety. One month later, she obtained the position of Human Resources Officer and became the Division Head of Human Resources in 2004.  Crystal was named Assistant Chief of Administration in April 2023.

Crystal has a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in Human Resources from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
