Advanced Responder Training Course – Mandatory Registration

TBD – Setting Up Proper Lane Closures

This training will instruct responders the proper methods to set up lane closures at crash scenes. ARDOT experts will provide the instructions on safe setup, traffic control devices and proper work zone set up by the standards set in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).

Setting up a proper and safe “work zone” at a crash scene will make the crash scene a much safer area for the responders and crash investigators work in.  This will also provide traffic control to aid in moving traffic safely and efficiently reducing the amount of time that traffic is backed up and preventing secondary crashes from occurring.
