Replacement of Highway 151 Bridge near Blytheville Means Temporary Highway Closure

MISSISSIPPI COUNTY (10-7) – Construction work to remove and replace the Highway 151 Bridge over Ditch No. 13 near Blytheville means temporary closure and detours, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting; the contractor will close Highway 151 south of Blytheville at the Highway 148 and County Road 246 intersections starting at 8:00 a.m. Monday, October 11. The closure will remain in place until the work is finished.

Local traffic will be permitted—except for crossing the bridge—and Highway 148 and County Road 791 will be signed as a detour route for through traffic.

This project is expected to take approximately five weeks to complete.

Orange barrels, cones, message boards, and signage will control traffic. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov. You can also follow us on Twitter @IDriveArkansas for traffic and @myARDOT for everything else.
